What do you love? Everyone has something they are passionate about. In fact, most people have more than one thing they love. Learn How To Figure Out Your Passion!

If you want to be successful and not just live a mediocre existence, you need to figure out your passion. If you don’t know what it is, you will never become the person you were meant to be. You may think that you already know your passion or at least you can find it if you look hard enough. But if you really want to get to the bottom of this question, you need to take some time to sit down and really think about it.

You see, when we say “passion”, we mean different things for different people. Some people might think of their passions as related to sports, while others could think of them as related to music. And still, others might think about their passions as being related to how much money they make. So, whatever your definition of “passion“, there is no doubt that everyone has at least one thing they feel passionately about.

Ever wonder what your passion is?

You know, that thing you do in your spare time, possibly all the time. That thing takes over and dominates every other activity you need to do. The reason you look forward to going to work. Your passion can be anything; it doesn't have to be traditional like painting, singing, or sports. You can be passionate about knitting sweaters or watching paint dry for all I care.

It's your passion, so you do it because you enjoy it, not to impress others with how talented you are at wasting time. However, what you don't want is to find out years down the line that your passion is actually your job and you've been spending all your free time doing something you thought you loved, but it's just sinking itself into the back of your mind. Your parents may not be so happy for wasting their money on college and grad school.

You can figure out what it is by asking yourself a number of questions

If any one of them keeps popping into your head, no matter how many other things you try to occupy yourself with, then that one thing is probably your passion. Now if it's a question that keeps coming into your head and making you wonder or obsess over it constantly, like 'What would happen if I jumped off this cliff right now?' – don't worry, it's normal (and still counts as a question). Here are some questions that I think you should ask yourself:

What would I do if money was not an issue?

For example, what would you do if you won the lottery and didn't have to work anymore? Would you keep doing what you're doing now or would you try something new?

What do I feel excited about but also afraid of at the same time?

Keep in mind that if one thought keeps coming up more than another, it can be your passion too. It doesn't necessarily have to be an even 50/50 split; you can enjoy something all to yourself and still say it's your passion. You can also have a passion that differs from one another for each thing that excites you and scares you, just as long as it's there.

What do I think about when I'm alone?

This one is self-explanatory. If the answer to this question differs from what you would say if someone else asked you the same question, it's probably your passion.

What do I dream about at night?

Again, this one is self-explanatory. If the answer to this question differs from what you would say if someone else asked you the same thing, it's probably your passion.

These next questions are just some examples of things that might help you find out what your passion is:

What do I spend most of my time doing?

For some people, it's easy to tell that this one is their passion because they can't stop thinking about doing it. For others, not so much. Sometimes it's just hard to tell the difference between having fun and being passionate.

What would I do if no one else was watching?

If you had to, what would you say is your passion even when no one is looking at you?

If I could wake up tomorrow doing anything, what would it be?

What's the first thing that comes to mind after reading this question? This may or may not be your passion, but it's definitely one of them.

What would I do if I had more time?

What is something you often find yourself wishing you had more time to do? Again, this may or may not be your passion; it's just something else to consider.

So what are you passionate about?

What are you passionate about?

Now to put the cherry on top, I have a little exercise for you. Think about your three favorite things in the world and what they are. Write them down right now if you have something to write with. If not, think about them really well until you can remember them all.

What are your three favorite things in the world?

When I was thinking about what to write on my list, this is what came up:

1. My Room

It's colorful, comfy, and quiet and there are a lot of places to hide things in. Plus, it's basically all mine so no one can take anything away from me. That means I'm safe here.

2. Talking

It's the best way to express yourself and forget about all your problems for a while, whether it's to a person or a journal or even just talking to someone through a window so they can't hear you at all. Sooner or later though, you have to stop talking and go back out into the real world.

3. Watching TV

I don't care what anyone says. It's the best thing ever and no one can take it away from me unless they find out where my remote is and break it! The best part about this is that you get to sit down and not do anything while watching. You might not want to do that if you just got burned alive. But if your house is on fire, I suggest sitting on the sofa and watching TV while everyone else tries to escape safely.

Think about it for a second. This may or may not be what you chose for your three favorite things in the world, although I'm pretty sure that most people would say this about their own favorite things. But I'm trying to tell you that if it wasn't for TV, there would be no need to have a favorite thing anymore. So TV brings people together. And that's why it's my fourth passion of the world!

Finally

I hope this helped you figure out what your passion is! And remember, no matter how weird it seems, if there's one thing I learned, everyone has at least one. Have fun figuring yours out!
